Dance Revelasian is the premier Chinese dance group in Boston. It is made up of a group of well-established, experienced dancers, drawn together by their common interest and passion for dancing. The group's mission is to promote Chinese culture through traditional dance. Through its artistic endeavors, the group hopes to share its heritage with the community and to acquaint Chinese American youth with their ethnic culture.

Dance Revelasian was established by a group of highly experienced Chinese folk and classical dancers. Even though there are a number of Chinese dance groups around the Boston area, none has ever been geared towards college students and young professionals. Most of the members of Dance Revelasian have over 10 years of Chinese dance experience. This allows Dance Revelasian to strive towards dances with a higher degree of difficulty, approaching a professional level.

Dance Revelasian is run by a committee consisting of its five founding members. Except in emergencies, all decisions are made by this committee, which makes the decisions more objective. Dance Revelasian strongly believes that everyone should be treated equally and fairly and that all rules and regulations should apply to each one of our valued members, with no exceptions. We do not believe in "politics" but believe that it is in the interest of Dance Revelasian to promote unity and harmony within the group. We believe that we are only as good as the weakest link. That is, a dance is only as good as the group's best -coordinated effort and not any individual's outstanding performance. This also enables Dance Revelasian to be more organized and highly focused on its mission - to promote Chinese heritage through dance.

Dance Revelasian kicked off its inception event in July 2003 with an extraordinarily successful Chinese dance technique summer workshop, taught by a professional Chinese dance instructor with many years of experience. Lessons included basic arm positions, leg positions, stretching, and a total of four different ethnic tribe dance segments. The feedback from participants has been overwhelmingly positive.

Dance Revelasian has and will perform at fundraisers, cultural events, city celebrations, company sponsored events and schools’ activities.
